 Ice Age Naional Scenic Trail

At the end of the last glacial period, a variety of unique landscape features were left behind in Wisconsin. The thousand-mile Ice Age Trail, one of eleven National Scenic Trails, highlights these features while providing access to some of the state's most beautiful natural areas.  The Ice Age Trail is suitable for walking, hiking, backpacking and snowshoeing over a wide range of distances and landscapes.

River Ridge Trail

The River Ridge Trail is part of a plan to preserve urban natural areas or “green space” in a non-motorized trail system that winds throughout the Waupaca Area.  There are 11 miles of trails within the city limits and a street route of 12 miles designated with River Ridge trail signs to connect to the off road sections.  River Ridge Trail Brochure and Map

 

Hartman Creek State Park

Located a few miles outside Waupaca and offers 10 miles of hiking trails; a playground; a 7.5 mile equestrian trail; a 300-foot long sand beach and swimming area; fishing; both on and off-road biking trails, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and camping.
